The Diocese of East Anglia was formed on the 13th March 1976 by Pope Paul VI in the decree Quod Ecumenicum. The Diocese comprises the Counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and the Unitary Authority of Peterborough.

Patrons of the Diocese are:  St Felix (Feast Day: 13th May)
Our Lady of Walsingham (Feast Day:   24th September)
St Edmund (Feast Day: 20th November)


The current Bishop is:  Rt Rev Michael Evans (ordained as bishop 19 March 2003)
