St Hugh of Lincoln - Gallery - 50th Anniversary of the Claretians Coming to Buckden

CELEBRATION OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARRIVAL OF THE CLARETIANS AT BUCKDEN

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS - MONDAY 28 AUGUST 2006

Our princpal guest was the General Superior of the Claretians, Fr. Josep Maria Abella Batlle. There was an open air Mass in the Knot Garden. A commemorative tree was planted in the grounds and a specially prepared booklet on the history of the Community at Buckden was available, as well books and souvenirs. There was live music and activities for the children including a bouncy castle, crafts and games. Timings for the day were as follows:

12:00 Opening prayers in St Hugh's.
12:30 to 14:30 BBQ.
12:30 to 15:30 Book& Souvenir Stall, Bouncing Castle, Children's Activities.
13:00 to 15:00 Folk and country music.
14:30 Planting of commemorative tree.
15:30 Mass in Knot Garden.
17:00 Teas in the main house.
18:00 Departure of visitors.
